Which is better? More clients at a lower margin, with a fire-fight service and a loss of passion, or fewer clients, but a true commitment to an amazing service and a satisfactory completion of the job? I feel like the answer is an obvious one, yet so many businesses seem to (probably unknowingly) steer towards the former.
I was asked a really odd question last night over dinner and it made me think.
The question was really easy, “If you had all the debts cleared, a new house and cars and a couple of really nice holidays each year, and then was given £200,000 what would you do with it?”.
I’ve been thinking about personality profiling, and whether people are born entrepreneurial, or if it something which they master out of desire. I feel like the answer is both, there are two distinct camps, yet the best results come from a combination.
